Grand Theft Auto 3 is probably the most influential game of my life. I played this game 100s of times, often just driving around Liberty City and raising my wanted level as high as possible. The story often receded into the background but it is a wonderful tale I had to tell here on the channel. Liberty city is vibrant with many gangs vying for power. The Leones, the Yakuza, even corrupt business men like Donald Love. This is a story about revenge but also about redemption. I hope you enjoy.

After 22 years, I just realized that in the bank heist intro, Miguel is driving a Banshee which is a 2 seater. Even he knew Catalina was gonna betray Claude and the other Colombian

I don't know why but there's something abit sinister about claude, he doesn't talk at all and will do anything for anyone to get his revenge and climb to the top of the criminal underworld as a hitman.

Something interesting for you, the developers created the opening scene camera work as an homage to changing from top down to 3rd person, the camera starts as top down then zooms into 3rd person.

Im 34 and I can still remember when the GTA 3 commercial was advertising. Claude jumping a ramp with the opera music playing. I think he was driving a Banshee. If so, I really do have memory like an elephant.

In my opinion, I think the reason people like Salvatore and Catalina betrayed Claude and why Donald Love vanished is because they knew how dangerous he was. They knew that he isn’t really loyal to anyone and will kill anyone with no hesitation. He’s literally Michael Myers but more dangerous. So they tried what they could to get rid of him. But boy they just fucked themselves. If you really look at the game’s story, you realize how dangerous he really is

One of the first games I ever got to play on my brand new PS2 as a 12 year old kid. I remember sitting in the back seat of my parents' car on the way home as they made me swear that I wouldn't use it as a killing sim, but I was too busy studying the printed poster/map that came with the game to really care or listen about what they were trying to preach/warn me about at the time. And so by day under their watchful eyes I explored each corner of the map like a respectful citizen going about their day in peace. And by night.. I wreaked havoc on Liberty City 😂

Tons of issues getting this thing to play on my PC back in the day burned this line into my brain. Going from GTA 1 and 2 to 3 was an adjustment, and that was my introduction to it.
