3D Isometric RPG Prototype in Unity by GoldenSkull

Small Prototype I built within a few days, featuring some 3D tilebased assets I am working on, hoping to release a new line of 3D asset packages soon.

I am building prototypes, to give context to my assets, seeing how they would be used, which generates context based ideas and helps with the overall design process.
I use a prototype approach, meaning I apply the 80/20 rule and skip the final part of polish (20% of quality for 80% of the time) of an asset and texture, to get to 80% of quality in 20% of the time. That way I can tweak assets and focus on the whole, rather than each individual asset.

Polishing an asset can be an insane time sink, and not support and sometimes even conflict the overall appearance of all the parts.

I am currently building something like this, open world tile map, also customizable terrain, houses, props. Which is all not that difficult, just large amount of work. The biggest problem I am running into is how to manage the shadow of everything, since they are not static. Also this is an mobile game. Fml haha.

Your assets are great but they look super performance heavy. Even on the smaller map the frames tank.
Is this something you are looking to address either in the assets themselves or in an updated demo with more optimisation maybe?

AyyyyyyyyyLmao
