As a girl growing up in the 60s and 70s, I had few female role models in leadership positions. Queen Elizabeth II was a great role model due to her Christianity, integrity, work ethic and humility. She is missed all over the world.

One of THEE most endearing stories ever told by The Queen was when she mentions that she and her sister had asked if they go could out in the streets and see what all the excitement was about, She said she danced and danced with total strangers, horrified of being noticed, but they were fine, and really enjoyed it, She then says "it was one of the most memorable nights of my life" now THAT is such a wonderful thing to hear. Endearing indeed. It says a LOT about the character of the Queen as yung girl; there she was, completely enjoying be immersed amoung her people, and they didn't have a clue the royals were amoung them.
