Katerra | Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) Factory

The Spokane Valley manufacturing facility is Katerra’s first mass timber production line. The 270,000 square-foot facility has the highest capacity of any CLT plant in North America, featuring one of the largest CLT press currently in operation in North America.

The factory will initially produce Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) structural systems, with plans to expand into the production of additional mass timber products in the future.

Mass timber represents the future of high-performance building technology as a new market for building materials that are safe, efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly.

Revolutionary CLT technology ... unless ... perhaps ... lumber costs vector to the moon. My money and design efforts in residential are with steel structural and thin concrete. My hero Pier Nervi, an engineer's - engineer was masterful in concrete and steel.
