The NT1 sounds warmer and it has a smoother frequency response. I have an At2020, and it's a good microphone, but NT1 sounds better.

Ihave an NT1-A, just got it from the mail on friday, had an neewer NW700 before and now that i have it, id always go with an NT1-A it sound so warm, yet so bright and detailed. For me, nothing beats rode, especially the NT1-A

the nt1 is much more flattering on your voice but the extra highs make the at2020 sound better for guitar strumming to me

Rode has brighter highs and fits your voice well. But I think I'll go with at2020, as I want to showcase lower frequencies and it seems at2020 can fit more styles.

Thanks for the comparison. I can hear more mouth noises through the 2020. The highs seemed to be the same but the lows were more prominent on the NT-1.

I have both and the nt1a I like a lot more then the at2020. It just has a lot better sound and picks up less background noise

The Rode NT1 is better full and more balance. The AT2020 more higher sound registration.

Id say the rode but i think thats the mic you are using in the beginning and the end so its harder to tell because the at-2020 just sounds so different to the rest of the whole clip idk maybe i listened to it too many times

Nt1 sounds more crisp and the and the at2020 sounds more muffled.

With compression like discord uses, you literally wouldn't tell the difference, but for vocal or guitar recording, I do like the nt1 more, but price to performance the 2020 wins. You can scoop used 2020s for like 40 bucks, at least locally here in atx.
