Quite nifty thing. I didn't even know these kinda boxes exist. Not surprised though. Gotta keep in mind if need rises. Maybe well get something like is it OSSC with possibility to record footage without input delay. That would be something I'd be insanely interested.

If they sent you that, ask for a ClonerAlliance ViewLite AV which is similar but also supports S-video input which is great for older consoles and computers.

I prefer a similar box from Unisheen with a larger screen. They don't include a battery though. There is also a scaled down model, but I heard it reduces quality. I needed a VGA input for old PC capture, so I went with them, because they offered a model that had HDMI, component, composite and VGA. They have pure HDMI recorders as well. In the same price range you typically get half a dozen options that are often the same hardware under an alternate brand. The makers of these gadgets all copy eachother. The model I got advertised live streaming. Turned out that feature was never finished, but not a deal breaker. What did frustrate me was the need to go to the main menu to adjust volume. They put it in a place where the sound gets disabled. So, you can't set audio and hear it at the same time. That's bs! I'm sure this device probably has some flaws, or some cutoff resolution and framerate combination that makes it flake out. I needed support for all the weird VGA modes, and at least that worked spot on. Know your needs and figure out the specs from there.

Disappointed with this review. Didn't mention what codec it captures in, bitrates, audio rates, does it remove HDCP? So many things missing and your videos are usually much better

It's an interesting device, -but you are violating the ToS by not disclosing this as an explicitly sponsored video.- (there was a disclosure, I missed it at the beginning) You framed it as a "review" but it is not a review, it is a paid advertisement -in which you did not disclose as such.- And if it isn't paid, you received the product for free for review and didn't disclose that. The end result is the same, it is not a review, it is a video that goes over specific talking points the company told you to put. There are many questions left unanswered by anyone that may actually want to buy this product like battery life, supported codecs, etc. There is also nothing negative at all, only positive things to say, which gives more credence to it not being a review.
