Debug PHP with VS Code and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)

In this video, I show how to set up XDebug with PHP in WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) and use it with Visual Studio Code. Watch until the end to see my reaction to the developer experience and what I think it means for the PHP community.

This helped me a lot, thanks, and for those who are having problems with version 3, just follow the same steps from PHP Debug and use this settings:
xdebug.mode = debug
xdebug.start_with_request = yes

I really appreciate it this video. I'm really loving my new php development environment with WSL. I was using Windows php, mysql, and IIS for hosting and xdebug worked well, but I get inconsistencies when it comes to the default document root and other quirks.

Hi Brain! Thanks for sharing your experience! I having a problem with my instalation of vscode just after I update vscode. Now I can't put breakpoints in the code I don't know why. I will be grateful if can give me a clue about can be happening
