V-Ray 5, update 1 | All Major New Features Explained

In this tutorial we will go through the most important features of the new V-Ray 5.1 | V-Ray 5 Update 1. We will take a look at several new or updated features such as the new Cosmos Asset Browser, the improved rendering of the VRayMtl in the 3ds Max Native Viewport, the new method of how translucency is generated in the VRayMtl, the added masking feature for compositing directly within the VFB, the updated Override Material, support of additive domelights and Progressive Caustics. After watching this tutorial you will have a good idea what are the main new features and how to use them.

I am using 3ds Max and V-Ray 5.1 or Update 1 in this demo and you would require the same version in order to follow this tutorial!

Hi Jonas! On that VIEWPORT RENDERING, is that the same as VIEWPORT IPR?

CLAMP OUTPUT QUESTION:
-guys, how to unhide CLAMP OUTPUT in Vray 5 render settings (3DS Max)?
it's hidden by default says chaosgroup
-for I have problem with jagged edges on bright area of an object
(it's easily solve before by SubPixel Mapping and Clamp Output)
