Elevated Travel Ready Basics for the Spring and Summer! #shorts

Are you traveling this spring or summer? Need some super comfy and chic outfit ideas???? Well, if so, you are going to LOVE these two looks!!

These two outfits are out-of-this-world comfortable!!

When it comes to selecting clothes for travel... I consider three important factors:

1 | Versatility

I follow the 80/20 rule when it comes to my wardrobe... 80% basics, 20% bold, trendy pieces... and I follow the same rule when it comes to travel. I aim to pack 80% neutral pieces that are easy to mix and match, then compliment my pieces with bold accessories and special items. This makes it simple and effortless to get dressed each day.

2 | Comfort

For long stretches traveling or busy sightseeing days... you NEED an outfit that you'll feel comfortable in all day long. Think soft fabrics, cotton to avoid overheating, stretchy pieces, and layers. When my husband, Chris, is in charge of the agenda... I know I need to be ready for an action-packed day!

3 | Flattering & Modern

While comfort and versatility is key... your travel pieces should be flattering as well. I look for V-necks, flared or wide-leg pants, and other slimming details to achieve a more elevated look. I also look for modern details like puff shoulders, cut-outs, unique texture, etc. Hats always elevate a look too - while also keeping you protected from the sun.

Hi Erin! I just love your videos! I am in the process of editing my closet and upping my style game. All thanks to you!! We are going to Germany in a week and wanted (and desperately needed) some fresh pieces.
Per your advice, I figured out my body type--hour glass with a little belly. I can thank peri menopause and Covid for that. I'm 53 and that has been a huge struggle for me.

I recently purchased a new bone-colored quilted crossbody handbag. I was that girl--about to take my square nylon crossbody bag on my trip. I may even have the exact bag you showed in your video What Not to Wear in Europe. 😔 I smile when I think about that and am really excited to wear my new purchase! Great tip!!
I also purchased two midi skirts, flowy wide leg pants, black shorts, new white shoes with a chunky heel and chain accent. Still need to find that nude pair of wedges. I also bought a pair of white jeans and a washed blue wide leg pair. My husband said, "You bought jeans. I haven't seen you wear jeans in years." Yup, he's right.

I bought almost everything at Macy's. Their INC (International Concepts) line fits me well and with all the Memorial Day sales right now, I didnt break the bank.

I am building up my basics so most of my colors are white, black and navy blue. Navy blue is the best color of all time! Since navy blue looks great with every skin tone and hair color, everyone should own navy blue shirts, Ts and at least one dress.

Next purchase is a blazer.
