It seems that all of Chris’ problems came from the fact parents refused to accept their child was different when it meant he would need more care and attention than other kids. They would hold him on a pedestal when he excelled and would sweep any negative traits under the rug and defend him regardless. I’d imagine this is where is extremely inflated ego came from, which ultimately, caused his downfall.
