Bro constantly assaults his wife, every day, and he’s pissy she finally defends herself, and escalates. Then he thinks he’s the victim? Clearly an abusive narcissist or he’s been waiting for something like this so he can try to file for divorce, trying to paint OP as the bad guy

So OP was sexually assaulted ten times a day for 11 years, reacted with a slap because shes sick and tired of being assaulted but she's the bad guy? Yeah no she needs to leave him and he deserves to be in prison

Off-topic, but it makes me super happy that all those R/ Ai-voiceover ripoffs don't even get 1k views most of the time. Having a human reading and reacting, especially as talented as rSlash, makes the content truly special.

Story 1- that’s not just abuse, he literally SAs you multiple times a day.

And he does it in front of the kids.

Even if you’re fine with his treatment of you (which it doesn’t sound like you are), why do you think it’s okay for your kids to learn this behavior?

"he punched me in the stomach. AITA?"
When did something like this even become a question???

Story 1: NTA. Run, NOW. If your husband, if you can even call him that, slaps you 10 times a day, and punches you in the stomach and demanding divorce for slapping back? He knowingly hurt you and just didn't care. Why are you with this guy? Divorce this abuser ASAP, who knows what he'll do next?

Story 4: If someone is asking you to sign documents and a blank sheet without any explanation or letting you ask questions, it's a red flag. Like "probably about to commit fraud" red flag, worst case.

This woman was not in OP's life for a long time until OP's husband died, and then suddenly she shows up demanding the stuff. Nah, she gets nothing

OP he definitely overreacted by punching you in the stomach, but you are way UNDER reacting by not leaving him way sooner! i hope she is safe, that is awful she had to endure that :c

Tre slapping story has a. Update:

UPDATE: wow I am so overwhelmed with all the encouragement and kind posts. I had a few not so friendly ones and I wish you’d refrain from making me feel worse by saying hurtful stuff. Unfortunately this is true and I is don’t make it up. I do feel the need to clarify a few things since I seem to have not chosen the best wording in my hasty post yesterday.

He has not been doing this for year. This started a couple weeks ago. We both work from home and are home 24/7.
No I do not walk around naked. He’s poking my butt through my clothes so not penetrating but it hurts and he knows that
My children are safe as am I. I did call police last night and had him removed from the home. I’ve started to talk to a lawyer and will move things along as needed
My husband did call today and I had shut my phone off for a while, hence the late update, but he of course is apologizing and doesn’t want to divorce. He offered counseling so we will look into that. I don’t know how I feel just yet about trying to make this work but we will see.
Thank you all again for reaching out. I haven’t been able to reply to everyone yet but I will try.

Regarding that last story: the fact that you can take a credit card in someone else's name in USA is absolutely mind-blowing to me. In my country, there's absolutely NO WAY you could do that. That person has to be 18+ years old and PHYSICALLY present in the bank to do it + PHYSICALLY sign the contract. Otherwise, no credit card. And that's the way it should be.

In the first story, the fact that he punched her in the stomach in response to being slapped is absolute proof that his constant slapping wasn't meant to be playful or innocent. He was absolutely abusing her and escalated when she finally fought back.

30000 in taxes on the house? 28% of people don't make that in a year thats $2500 a month that isn't taxes that's rent.

Story 2: “I had to accept the money was gone or else my marriage was ruined.” Buddy, your wife took her sisters side when you were screwed over by her family. The marriage was already ruined and you got conned by her side of the family. That wife is a piece of work.

The daughter who wants all her mom’s inheritance should not get anything after the mother (OP) dies. Make sure to have a will and leave it all to someone or something else.

So just for some context on the first story. She hadn’t been slapped for 11 years or even a year. It had only been a couple of weeks according to the update. That doesn’t mean he’s less of a terrible person just wanted to say not 44, 000 slaps. He was forced out of the house and he’s apologizing scared of divorce and offering counseling for the two of them. She’s still thinking about it unfortunately but people in the comments are telling her she was too good and she could do better. So hopefully she won’t try to be with him again.

Last story: I know I’ve said it a gazillion times before, but it cannot be stated enough. There has to be a certain layer of Hell for parents who steals from their kids and/or screws over their children financially! NTA A-F!!!

Story 4: This has to be in some really backwards country or a 1930s mafia lawyer. What kind of lawyer would ask someone to sign a blank sheet of paper and also be present when violence and intimidation is used to get someone to sign some documents.

Story 2: Let's say OP gives in and "lends" the sister $30, 000 for the taxes. The's $30 000 PER YEAR on a house over $1 million. Where is she going to get the taxes for next year, and the the next? You know the sister isn't going to pay it back.
This is straight up financial spousal abuse. yes, it's time to say "two choices, counseling or divorce. And in either choice, your sister does not get ANOTHER DIME. They live in a house they can no longer afford. She needs to sell, get something smaller, pay the capital gains, PAY US BACK and pocket the rest. Those are the only options and I AM willing to die on this hill."

5:15 if you lend her the money, what happens next year when the taxes are due again?

Story 2: NTA. You got played from the beginning. It's nothing to you that they're too irresponsible to handle their own business. PS this wouldn't be a loan, just more money pissed away. PPS your wife sucks. PPPS: This is why you shouldn't ever give a house to someone who can't afford one.
