Great edit, lovely track from TD, and a decent and unusual WW2 fantasy film. I can't believe that they haven't released it on anything after initial laser disc and VHS print.

A few years late, but I am excited to see so many more folks appreciate this film. I first watched it with my Ma when it appeared on cable in the 80s, she enjoyed Wilson's novels and was ecstatic when this aired.

One thing though... in the scene where Prochnow is screaming at Byrne ... has anyone ever noticed that the audio for that is SUPER LOW ... I have also watched many versions of the film, and you miss out on Prochnow's monologue to Byrne if you don't turn up your volume or use headphones.

But regardless -- I love this film.
