I think instead of fully collapsing the bottom 2 civs.... or um players. the bottom 2 players mostly collapses but one of their cities become something like a city state

I'd really like to see 4X and grand strategy games move toward having spherical maps. Travel along the east-west axis shouldn't take as long nearer the poles as at the equator, and in the modern era it should be possible to send airborne units over the poles to the other side. It seems to me that, unless there are ways it genuinely impedes gameplay that I'm not aware of, Ara would have been the perfect game to start introducing that kind of map, since the tiles aren't a uniform shape and so there wouldn't be a need to work around the mathematical complication that you can't build a full globe out of only hexes.

Are the mountains and rivers themselves going to be uninteractable or could we down the line build things like mines or dams on them?

Please add the possibility of slower technology learning and slower production in cities, because now the game runs like a mad horse, and learning each new technology is not a significant event, but just "another Tuesday" because the next day another technology will be ready, and so on and so on.

I'm glad you can turn the culling mechanic off. The most boring part of any grand strategy game is when there are only 1-4 player/cpu nations left. The only way I would like that mechanic is if a new power/culture or maybe even just independent states would spawn in and have the ability to take over, that way it isn't just open territory after moving on to the other act. Having nations/cultures disappear is just bizarre and jarring imo.

QUESTION: with modding will there be features to support building scenarios with specific starting locations/conditions? Adding custom goals? True Start Location Earth? Thanks!

I'd like the option to not have the bottom civilizations drop out in single player as I like to pretend like it's real life. A planet with 4 civs isn't realistic

your cap on turns is a game killer, At least I dont have to buy this now..dont make a OPEN game and kill it with rules that are gamebreaking, Just stupid.
