This fits way better with what I wanted Civ to be. Will probably buy a few months after release, good work!

My favorite mods with 4x Era games are actually the ones that let you play in Eras for as long as you want. I feel like a Medieval Era mod for this game would be a hit

I like almost everything about this game, except few thing. First is civilization elimination during act transition. It might be OK for ancient civilizations from a historical point of view, but for later stages it’s odd. Second one is a city cap. It’s just unnatural. Civ 6 made this limitation in more elegant way with loyalty mechanic, so in Ara it might be something better like “administrative effectiveness”.

currently I am going for space victory on civ6 will ara have anything like that. Also can you conquer other nations?

The living world stuff is really interesting to me. Civ kinda went the opposite route, got more and more stylistic and less detailed, causing me to kinda lose that sense of immersion of actually steering the course of an empire.

The configurable taxation policy sounds pretty interesting. Naturally that always played a huge role in letting the state mobilize resources for its goals, Fredrick the Great vs Catherine the Great is one example. I like how the devs seem to be thinking about giving the player lots of choice. I wonder how the tall vs wide tradeoffs with work...

Telling animals to behave like animals sounds like a fun task😄

If I infer correctly from the conversation and Brian's response then ARA will allow for proper eXpansion. I hope ARA will not be oppressively heavy-handed the way Civ V was with it's ridiculous global happiness that punished you for having one city too many. 4X games need to keep the eXes in 4X!

¿Cuáles son las naciones con las que se podrá jugar? De momento, he visto a Estados Unidos, Imperio Zulú, Imperio Azteca, Inglaterra, Georgia, Japón, China, India, Grecia, Egipto, Califato Abasí, Persia, Canadá, Sumeria, Etiopía, Imperio Romano, e Imperio Bizantino. Me faltan muchas grandes naciones.

I would really like to play on a real life nations map. Need all continents and locations like EU4. That would be cool. Just seeing old cultures and civilizations. Educate me while i play! Lol thats what i loved about titles like caesars 3 and 4.

Devs look like a really seasoned one and knowing what they do but honestly it is still not very clear as to what this game is going to be. Is it a Civilization type of game or a city-builder with elements of Civilization? Still kind of vague for me.
Anyway I wish you Oxide guys a huge success with your game.

I just noticed the giant XBOX Game Studio logo on the top right there so I think I know the answer, but I have to ask, is this available on PlayStation?

Either way wish you and the entire team over at Oxide games luck with the game I think it looks really promising!
