2:1 is the automotive ratio if you use a Compressor we in the UK on-site spraying cladding using 2k paint also use the same ratio but 2:1 with hardener because we use HVLP paint needs to be thinner so I do put 5:1 with hardener and from there 2:1 with thinner or after adding hardener I do 60% paint 40% thinner little bit hardener

The shop told me that 1K Acrylic = Paint + Hardener + Thinner

So on your video 1K Acrylic = Paint + Thinner only without hardener .

Thanks for the video :)

All the info I needed as a amateur painter of 2k. 1 k too included. Bonus👍👍👍

Any chance of a spraying outside video as I don’t have a spray booth or garage.

So that us amateur guys can get a fair crack with what we have.

Great video 10/10

This is a great tutorial. What would be also beneficial to add to this tutorial or another tutorial is what material types you can and cannot use together on a paint job or refinishing an existing paint job. For example, can you use a 1k or cellulose primer then a 2K solid colour or base and clear etc and what happens when you use the incorrect mixture of materials please

Hi, Love your vids. Bought some paint for a bike fairing the ti doesn't have any ratios on it, The company told me it's 7 parts thinners to 9 parts paint I've never heard of that before.
Cheers

I'm using a 2k acrylic enamel paint for plastic and it says on the tin to mix with 50% thinners but this seem too thin and gets runs more easily, would it be ok to use 10-15% thinners instead? or will that affect adhesion and flexibility of the paint?

Where do you find the laquar paints ? I haven't seen them for years but stay away from the mixing cups the scale on the side is incorrect check it out with measuring cups... I'm thinking becouse of the taper or how they apply the scale on the cup a flat side pot and measuring stick is the safest way just clamp the stick to the side of the pot so it doesn't slide down... Haven't seen viscosity cup for a few years now great video 👍 from 🇨🇦
