Thank you so much. I purchased a gravity gun a couple years ago. Nesco (and can't find replacement parts now). My hubby dinged up his work vehicle and instead of paying the $500 deductible, I decided it was time to use my painting skills. (I'm a woodworker, so I have some experience). But the paint store who sold me the gun and the paint was unwilling to assist me in mixing the paint. I just finished the first coat and it looks pretty darn good for my first time.

Good info, my dad have been doing auto truck and trailer, as well as cars, body work, before i was born, and i have done A/B for him(lite work only) and he taught me just about everything BUT painting, im 43yrs old, now, he is retired but(at 77 yrs old) he is still doing body work on his own vehicle's. so thanks for the info.

@thatesedog805 I'm just using armorcoat, I use 2 parts armorcoat, 1 part thinner so that it goes through my pain gun properly. Make sure you give the object atleast 3 coats so it has a good protection.

You also want to remember that if you do not have a spray booth, many different types of chemicals that you have laying around the shop can make fresh paint react and cause (fish eye) especially tire cleaners left on rags.
