Honestly, they need to make a earth avatar and fire avatar trilogy to complete the avatar cycle!!! The earth avatar can be set in the modern era. The fire avatar could set into a futuristic timeline. If they end with fire then that should be fine.

What would have been cooler for Genji would be to have him sand-bend when they said, "Earth". Picture the earth rises up on either side of him like two sand dune hills as he raises both arms like a crane flapping his wings, then he jumps and does a spin kick, and the two hills twist and distort as sand coming directly at the camera!
It would show the fluidity of sand-bending, being a bit more like water and air-bending, and can even "hint" in a way that this earth-bender is something special.

In my opinion the legend of genji should be where he knows every element EXCEPT earth. Which would make him the first avatar we’ve seen that doesn’t know his base element coordinating to his nation. It would be so interesting. There would be three seasons. Season 1 part 1 = sand
Season 1 part 2 = seismic sense
Season 2 part 1 = metal
Season 2 part 2 = truth seeing
Season 3 part 1 = lava
Season 3 part 2 = earth

The way it works is he learns every subset that way he gradually bends earth and then he becomes an unstoppable earth bender by being the first avatar and human being to learn all of the earth bending subsets.

Edit: can you guys stop being rude in the replies it’s a rough idea I’m not saying this is exactly how it goes it’s just a concept I thought I’d share abt something that’s not repetitive in a third potential series. Thanks for hearing it tho.
