About the Speaker:
Steve Murphy began his career in financial services with Northwestern Mutual in 2008. After establishing a client base, Steve became a field director, managing a team of agents while continuing to cultivate his own book of business. In 2013, Steve enhanced his practice by joining the Private Client Services division of Chernoff Diamond & Co., LLC (M Group) as an advisor. In 2015, he joined the home office of New York Life as a consultant to NYL’s captive agency distribution channel. He consults New York Life’s national field force of 12k+ agents, as well as development managers, partners, life product consultants, life sales officers and advanced planning consultants on diverse life competition strategies.

In 2008, Steve earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from UAlbany. He earned a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) degree from The American College and holds his Series 6, 63, 7 and 66 FINRA designations. Steve believes strongly in giving back to the community and has volunteered with PinkTie Long Island, Family & Children’s Association and The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Steve resides on Long Island with his wife, Linda, daughter, Hannah, and son, Stephen. His interests include fitness, travel, hiking and live music. He also is an avid Yankees, Giants and Knicks fan.
