Flexible goal, means IGG already charged the backers cards, and already has taken the cut they get. They will not refund the full amount, only the stuff less charges. Also going to bet half those initial backers are using stolen cards as well to pump the scam up more before the time, most likely the same group doing the initial scam so they can milk the stolen cards before they are blocked.

Update: I also filed a quick report of the campaign (with this video linked) and received a reply a few hours ago saying that they had removed it and banned the user. It was even a personal written response, not an automated thing. Well done, Indiegogo!

I guess this is a sign of your success, you have to be successful for people to start copying you like this. Unfortunately like you mentioned Indiegogo is the go to place for scam campaigns..

@EEVBlog, Dave, have your eevblog website block all referrals coming from indiegogo. That will stop the links they copied and pasted into their description from working. You can also contact the nice folks at UTI and let them know their copy-write logo is being used without their permission. Perhaps they have lawyers waiting for something like this.

Just received an email from Indiegogo to say the Campaign in question has been removed from their website. I ran a search it did not appear in the search results.

I sent in an email to them with a link to the video and they sent an email personally saying they removed it!
