The Kickstarter campaign was "kickass". The numbers showed that the campaign had over 2200 meters ordered. I thought about getting one but I picked up two of Dave's BM235 meters.

Re RTC battery monitoring - some RTC chips ahve some monitoring on battery voltage - what chip does it use ?

Yes Dave, you can do that ;) I have seen creators using pledge levels like "Get one", "Get two", "Get three..." a lot!

On watching the RTC battery voltage:
You can get small signal MOSFETs that have very low leakage.
This lets you hook up the battery check only while the check is being done.
