Sometimes the crunchy mom needs a translator. Thankfully, Jason has been around her long enough to give some help.

“She’s saying the kids are gonna be fine” the way he said it was comforting in a way, like he’s not worried about them at all, they have good parents and he knows it. In the world of these characters, I imagine there’s plenty of times where he sees his wife being crazy and crunchy but all he really sees is his wife being the best mom she can be so that’s why he’s so chill about when she gets crunchy in public lmao

The 'regular' dad is a great addition to this show- still glad you don't use your kids in these videos.

I do love the fact that this guy is just her translator.

I love that Crunchy Mom has clearly done research into parenting styles with the best psychological outcomes — the importance of authoritative parenting vs authoritarian or permissive is something I learned in my psych lectures. She’s a nerd and I love her.

I would genuinely watch a whole sitcom about this family.

When being a good parent is so rare that when people hear "gentle parenting" people immediately think of the worse case scenario where parents ignore their kids problems and neglect them by not establishing rules rather than just a parent who basically isn't an abusive asshat:

I love how chill her hubby is, they balance each other out ❤️ I do hope he gets some air pods for Christmas though 😅

Honestly shocked you even entered a mall-Pyne and Smith Clothiers doesn’t have a retail location and Softstar shoes are sold out of some sort of a gnome hut. Must have been forced to go there to pick up a gift for a normie birthday party. So brave, Mama.

I'm so happy the dad can translate to normal people what she just said.
We need more of the dad on the videos.
Take care, stay safe, have a nice day.

The amount of information I’m learning from these funny videos reminds me of when I figured out PBS was educational. I wanted to be mad but I enjoyed watching it too much 😂

Authoritative is one of four parenting types in a specific model, I remember it from sociology class. Authoritarian: “do what I say, or else! Don’t ask why” Authoritative: “do what I say, but it’s okay to ask why, and if you don’t like how things are we can talk about it later”. Permissive/indulgent: “do whatever you want, I’ll do anything for you, I’ll get you whatever you ask for, we don’t like to tell our child ‘no’-” ie spoiling, can also be helicopter-y. Neglectful: “do whatever you want, just leave me alone. I’m busy.”

If those four types, authoritative- “do what I say, but it’s okay to ask why, it’s okay to disagree with me, let’s talk things out” has been shown to yield the happiest, healthiest, and most successful adults in every metric. People say “there’s no right way to parent”- well, the details there isn’t, those need to be tailored to the parent and the child, everyone’s different. But there IS a “right” way to parent, in a general sense. It exists, guys!

I honestly wish I had CMs knowledge. She is so knowledgeable and takes care of her body and Earth. I love that.
