I enjoy Lisa's videos so much that I even like her ad reads from the channel's sponsors whereas with most others I just skip over them. There are few other YouTubers who are so chill and pleasant to listen to while also offering their honest, knowledgeable perspective on the product being examined. I’ve been wanting a 13” colour device for several years now for reading graphic novels, technical manuals and pdfs. The iPad Pro was way too expensive, and there are few ereaders in this size (and they are just as expensive). The 13” iPad Air looks very interesting.

Man, they really are good at market segmentation. Keeping this display at 60Hz is probably juuust enough to bump some people to the Pro, while also keeping margins higher.

👁️ Nice review, thank you. The display is better on the Air than the Pro, as the Pro is OLED. OLED displays can cause eye problems and headaches in some people, because of pulse-width modulation.

I bought an M1 iPad Air, in blue, and I love it. Also bought an iPad Mini, don't know where the latter is. The former is in its keyboard case that I got from amazon that's also blue and rotates, holds positions well, and they're always some of my favorite (cheap, admittedly) BT keyboard/case. Turns it into a little laptop.

Great review, no fluff just the information.. I am typing this on my air 13 upgrade from a 2016 ish 10.5 pro. The pro pencil is incredible but not 129 cool. I verified the usb-c pencil I bought for my daughter works with the air13. Anyone know if a aftermarket stylus will work? I found a esr pen that advised for 2016-2024 ipads but did not have the model number A2899. Also I could not get the Apple Pencil from 2016 doesn’t work with an aftermarket lighting to usb-c adapter not shocked

Watching on this exactly same iPad! I had the air from two generations behind, and the larger screen is great! I’m used to high refresh rate on my MacBook and pc monitor, but honestly I don’t mind the screen on the air, it is plenty good and the pro costs way too much!

Great review! Seriously considering upgrading to the 13” from my 2020 11” iPad Pro, but largely depends on what they do with iPadOS 18.

60Hz... is a really big shame in 2024. Especially for $800. 90Hz should be the minimum. And yes, it's very much visible.
