The 2024 iPad Air is probably the best bang for your buck iPad. You get something almost as good as the pro for a fraction of the price and it works with the new Apple Pencil Pro.

Thank you so much for the video. The Internet is so full of the new iPad pro reviews while You helped me with my decision, for a moment I thought the new iPad Air isn’t good enough for drawing on it. Again thank you so so much

Looks like the settings show both squeeze and double tap. I don't think squeeze replaced double tap, just an additional function.

I went from a 10.5 inch iPad Pro (2nd Gen) to a 5th Gen iPad Air (a week before the new ones were announced), and I don't miss the Pro Motion display. The only real appeal the Pros had for me at that point were more storage options, and I'm very deliberate as far as what I put on my tablet. No streaming, one or two small games that I rarely play, and if I want to edit video, I've got a Mac for that.

Really interesting device.
I think it could be the right time to replace my iPad Pro 12.9 2017 (still working after 7 years, but it starts having some limit).

I m using my iPad Air 13 right now, and I love it ❤ you can’t go wrong. Best purchase of 2024 for me so far lol

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I always appreciate hearing your opinion as an artist on new tablets since a majority of tech reviews don't cover that sort of thing. Just got my new iPad Air today and am so excited to draw on it!!

13inch model is kinda tempting, but for now I think I'm good with my 5th gen Air I just got last month. I just don't know if the Apple Pencil Pro is something I care enough to buy over my Apple Pencil 2 and my older Air which I've already come to love.

I turned off the Apple Pencil's double-tap, too. Ditto for the button on my S-pen Creator Edition. They just feel like they "get in the way, " as Mr. Colbow says, which is strange since I used the two buttons on my Wacom pens a whole lot.

That's wild HOW MUCH you can do with "just" an iPad, now. It's amazing to me that you can do something like editing a professional-looking video on such a small-slim device.

Great video! I picked up the 13" Air to replace my M1 10.9 Air. I do wish the apple pencil 2nd gen was compatible but the pro is pretty awesome honestly. I think for the price this is one of the best tablets available. I know it can add up quickly with accessories, (at least the old magic keyboard is compatible if you have one) but when it is all said and done this is a great device for art and illustration, even great as a laptop replacement if your not doing anything crazy on your laptop.

Your YouTube channel, over the years, has shown me that there are more options than just the popular expensive stuff to do digital art with. Knowing about the cheaper options helped me save for a much cheaper screen tablet to do the work I like until I was able to afford my first Wacon One tablet. Now that I got the experience of drawing on my Wacom screen display, I am confident in my new goal for saving for an ipad air to make web comics and write fictional stories. Your channel also got me into looking up drawing tablets and building the motivation to get those tablets. All I want to say is thank you.

This is the iPad I'm planning to buy, and I say planning because it is still not available in my country!!! I'm glad I waited for the new iPads announcement instead of going for the iPad mini as I had planned. I cannot wait to draw on this thing!

I have the new 13" Air as an upgrade from a 2020 iPad Pro. Love the hover feature. The only pen I know of with barrel roll (Wacom discontinued the Art Pen), and I recently learned that squeeze even works with a grip (e.g. NimbleGrip) and quite far up the pencil (with an artist grip).

I like overkill so I was set on a pro but this review makes me think why should I keep some cash on me instead. Thank you

The Air 5 is overpowered for my use case, I’m an interior designer and I use it to show my designs to my clients, I also do basic sketches on it, but I’m getting the 13-inch Air just for the bigger screen, it’ll make a big difference for presentation.

I think I will get one! The 13 inches is too big to carry and mine (2020M1) is still working fine! My second iPad will be this one. And this review helped me to decide! Thanks!

I pick up my 13" on Thursday. I sprang for more storage (128). Didn't realize it did not supporting my AP Pro 2, bummer. Oh well, I guess I'll have to spring for a new pencil if I want to continue to draw. Add a portfolio and a screen protector and your looking at another $40 or so. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.

I would like to see how an iPad replaces a computer, especially for an artist or animator. Personally, once procreate dreams came out the iPad has been my go to for animation and digital art, and it works perfectly, even if I’m using a 4th gen iPad Air, that doesn’t even use the M1 processor. Looking forward to that video.

I am upgrading from my iPad 8th Gen. Mainly for using it for streaming movies, YouTube, etc, but for work as well. The 8th Gen's ram is starting to struggle and it was a good iPad for the years I have had it. I hope this one will last a lot longer. I got the portfolio case, but from JetTech on Amazon. Good case for the price! I have one on my 8th gen.

For me I prefer use 11” than 13” as the bigger the screen may defeat the purpose of portability and working on the go. I try my friend ipad pro and did not like the feel, the same feel that I have when I use 20” + graphic tablet display or those convertible laptop with touch screen.

The M2 iPad Air 11" is the most perfect iPad I have ever owned, love my Mini as well and hated my chunky 12.9'' M2 iPad Pro.
