F-86 Sabre vs A-4 Skyhawk

F-86F-40 vs A-4E. Air Simulator Battles. Had a fantastic session with @irken_zim3553 & @dogfight_fanatics last night starting off with some early jet action flying Sabres. In my quest for a non-US Viper (& Eagle) I recently got this F-86 premium for Japan. Hesitant at first as I never had much luck with Sabres I’m starting to find my stride with this nimble little jet. At 9.7 it can be difficult as almost anything can outrun you. However, with a little patience you can bait enemy jets into your style of fighting (slow turning maneuvers) where this thing becomes very deadly. Here I identify an enemy A-4 attacking a friendly and go to help him out after he calls for backup. The A-4 being another highly maneuverable jet I have to be careful not to take too much time or it would be game over for my wingman. Going for a shot when the Skyhawk is going over the top I try to line up a missile shot which misses completely. Diving down on the friendly aircraft I desperately shoot some .50 cals at him to attempt to get him to break off my wingman. It works. The enemy A-4 then goes into a climbing turn which I assume meant he was attempting to get me into a scissors. Easily staying on his six I line up my guns, take off his wing and take the A-4 out of the fight allowing me and my wingman to return to base safely (or attack the D point or whatever). 1 jet away from Rank VI for Japan this thing will help me get my new F-16 nice and quick.
