Hamilton -Jacobi theory provides the canonical transformation in which both the position and momentum coordinates are cyclic. The theory is utilized to solve the mechanical problems in which Hamiltonian of the system doesn’t depend on time explicitly. Hamilton-Jacobi equation which is a partial differential equation of first order has been obtained. Physical interpretation of Hamilton’s Principal Function has been also presented.
