Curve were an English alternative rock and electronica duo from London, formed in 1990 and split in 2005. The band consisted of Toni Halliday (vocals, occasionally guitar) and Dean Garcia (bass, guitar, drums, programming). Halliday also wrote the lyrics of their songs and they both contributed to songwriting. An important collaborator was producer Alan Moulder, who helped them to shape their blend of heavy beats and densely layered guitar tracks set against Halliday's vocals.

Curve released five studio albums (Doppelgänger in 1992, Cuckoo in 1993, Come Clean in 1998, Gift in 2001, and The New Adventures of Curve in 2002), five compilation albums (Pubic Fruit in 1992, Radio Sessions in 1993, Open Day at the Hate Fest in 2001, The Way of Curve in 2004, and Rare and Unreleased in 2010), and a string of EPs and singles.

So glad that in 2024 there is this clip available for me to watch on YouTube. Love this band so much! Thanks for having this up because back then I would have died to have all these videos of Curve just out there to watch

CUCKOO is an astonishing album. It’s so malleable and timeless—it doesn’t feel like it belongs to any era or genre. 🥚 I can listen to it now and not have any connection to the past. They were so ahead of their time.

This is fab. I loved Curve and still listen on a regular basis. Gary Crowley was a great interviewer too - not one of the gobshites that end up in the job and don't know when to STFU. Thank you!

Their ‘Cuckoo’ album - hard to understand why it wasn’t a mega seller at the time nor held up as a masterwork. It is.

This interview remains very telling…Curve thought they had created a masterpiece…and they had…they could have made another album full of riffs…a ‘Doppelgänger II’…if you will…they didn’t…it was their have ‘Cuckoo’…a brilliant album…not stuck in the 90’s…not living on nostalgia…mind-blowing to this day…utterly futuristic…utterly fantastic…more importantly…utterly unforgettable…

It's nice that Alan Wilder had both of them to work on some tracks in his Bloodline album. Great team work.

When Toni looks straight into the camera and smiles at 1:51, it totally melts me!
Thanks for the rip, Robin. Priceless!
