F1 - 1990 Ayrton Senna vs 2019 Lewis Hamilton - Monaco

Before you go all crazy in the comments and say this isn't the onboard for his pole lap the point of this post is not to show lap times but to show two of the best drivers to ever drive in F1 and how different the cars were. The level of skill for each is different. In 1990 Senna does some of the fastest parts of the track with only one hand on the wheel while shifting with the other (in a car with no power-steering). Hamilton is traveling at a much faster constant pace while coming within inches of the walls.

I am a huge Hamilton fan, but driving a manual without any assists one handed is mad and that too in Monaco. I can't even finish a lap in Monaco in a game. No wonder everyone has such massive respect for Senna, he was on another level.

Senna's driving is insanely fast and fierce, you feel all the bumps and the engine screaming like a rocket, multitasking, changing gear at such high speed... Hamilton's video is like flying in a fighter plane, he's getting so close to the bareers, his control and reflexes are madly incredible...

My god the violence in those old cars is insane. We’ve traded excitement and violence for lap times which is some incredible engineering but man does it really show how much skill it takes to drive these cars

I can only imagine how terrifying it must feel to take one hand off the steering wheel to shift gears while the car is going at a gazillion miles per hour. I believe current F1 drivers take for granted just how much assistance their cars give them in a race, I don't think any of then would be able to drive a car like Senna's McLaren in a real race.
