For anyone else wondering, I did the research for you.

Rossi almost lost control on the corner and to avoid crashing, he cut the corner, he said they actually touched during the turn so it was the safer option to pull out. Going across the gravel is very risky too at high speeds like this, so he's lucky to have even made it through. It looks like cheating but it's actually extremely impressive manouvering on two fronts.

Doctor Rossi did spectacular holding through the gravel at that speed and back out straight pulling the wheelie blasting through the finish.

Meanwhile, Marc held that corner which anyone could have lost after that slip at that angle at that speed at that last moment.

Two champions did phenomenally well exhibiting master level control of their beasty machines at that heat of the moment.

There's still more years for the younger generation to pick up and it is just going to be fantastic in the coming years.

wer genau hinsieht erkennt an den Spuren im Kies das schon mehrere Fahrer an dem Wochenende durch dieses Kiesbett gefahren sind. Erheblich länger sogar als Rossi. Die Fahrer kennen die verschiedenen Kiesbetten an jeder Strecke bestens. Das war genau so geplant von Rossi um sich den Sieg zu sichern. das war eine der Szenen damals weswegen ich kein Rossi Fan mehr sein konnte. und ich war ein riesen Fan von ihm.
