Boycotts are indeed based. I wish more people could be convinced of the utility of voting with your wallet, instead of being a defeatist.

God, I wish deboonking tankies would have won that poll. I am Hungarian, our country is where the term "tankie" comes from and I would love nothing more than to see those people proven wrong.

In short: It's a cartel.

One key aspect that should be enough to get ESG banned and all involved imprisoned is that it's evaluation method is opaque, as evidenced by Tesla's score. If no third party organization can challenge it's evaluation methodology and compute a different score by being more thorough in their investigations, the ESG score can be entirelly self serving (like it is). Literally an "you're with us or you're against us" score, that combined with Blackrock's huge monetary assets, pretty much making it a monopoly, means they can engage in disloyal competition.

Have you heard of Marcus Licinius Crassus? Contemporary of Julius Caesar (THE Julius Caesar) and Pompey? The rich guy in the Roman Triumvirate? He was at one point the richest guy in Rome. So rich he literally owned half the city. During his time, Rome didn't have a fire brigade. So when any fire broke out, there came Crassus's army of free men and slaves, buckets of water in hand, offering to buy wathever was burning that Crassus didn't own already for pennies on the dollar (or should I write 'denarii on the aureus'). If you refuse to sell, they'd just make sure the fire doesn't spread to crassus's shit and let your building burn to the ground. If sold, they'd put out the fire and call Crassus's other army of artisans and construction workers to reform it, renting the property out once habitable.
This is what ESG is doing. It's both the fire and Crassus's fire brigade to the West. Blackrock doesn't usually have a majority stake in the company themselves, but the funds they manage give them the right to vote on behalf of the people who invested in the fund. Combined with loans they can offer at preferential rates means that company has enormous pull into influencing companies as they see fit.

And for those who think we can just not invest into ESGs, the government does that for us anyways with our own tax dollars. Even if we boycott these woke companies, the government will just bail them out with investments.

I even saw ESG ads in my home country Malaysia, something about global warming. Seems like my government has announced the launch of ESG standards in April this year. No wonder I'm starting to see these ads around when I'm just on my way to office for work

The only thing you need to do to see the origins of ESG is to look at the early life section in wikipedia

Could you possibly do another video on more idea's Republicans could use to improve the party? Honestly still is one of your better videos and I feel like there are plenty of decent concepts Libertarian/Populists can use to improve the party.

Fascism -at least the socioeconomic side of it -is when business carries out the will of government.

ESG is crypto-Fascism, especially here in America. Governments are using Big Business to carry out policies they can't get passed at the ballot box or which wouldn't meet constitutional muster if they could get it through the House and Senate.

I describe it this way. A boycott is to choose for oneself to not support a thing and to tell others why they shouldn't support it either. Cancel culture is to choose for others and attempt to remove the ability for others to support a thing.

It's a great baseline video that covers the shortfalls of E.S.G. I hope this topic is covered again later down the track.

U.S Left Coast: China has a social credit score! How dystopian!
China: Uhh, no. We're not that messed up yet.
U.S. Left Coast: So anyway, we have a social credit score system now!

It's just a rehashed "social credit system" in short.

I'm interested in a video detailing how to best do your own research. To be specific, making it easier on the average person who doesn't really have a lot of time on their hands to go about with such a, usually, time extensive activity. Then this could possibly be followed up with going into the specifics with reading scientific papers, statistics and navigating databases.

Your wrong on the origins.
ESG actually comes from the lowest ring of hell.

ESG is basically Gilbert Durandal's Destiny Plan in Gundam SEED Destiny but with extra steps.
