I had my very first business class seat experience the other day. It was on a United flight from Frankfurt to San Fransisco- almost 12 hours of flying. The only reason I got to do it is because I was flying with my dad, who needed an emergency medical evacuation with a nurse escort. The company booked me in economy but the kind nurse (who flies around the world for his job and has an ungodly amount of miles in his account) used his own miles to upgrade me and…my god. You’re so right about Polaris. Everything was where I needed it to be, the flight attendants treated me like royalty, I spent like 20 minutes using all the seat controls to find the ~*optimal*~ setting that felt the most comfortable and almost “weightless”, like when they describe those 0 gravity seats. I don’t know if I’d ever actually fork over the money to buy a 5k plane ticket, but for a long haul flight like that…it was an incredible experience that I will never forget.

For 10k I'd rather spend it on a good hotel, extravagant food and even visit 2 other countries and do the same thing there. Probably for a month each even. 😅

I think the most important thing in business class is
1. lie flat beds
2. Seat comfort
3. Sear design
4. Food and because
5. Service

Since most people pay for the price of business class to be able to stretch their legs, a fully flat beds is most important.

watching this made me kinda want to cry bc i know that in two days i’ll be flying for fifteen hours in economy. i’ve made this flight more times than i can count and it’s awful every time. hopefully this will be one of the last times.
