my issue with Fiona, I think, is that she doesn't act as if she was really hurt by Shrek when she says "You chuckled. When I said lifetime of misery, you chuckled". Something important about this moment: Fiona is actually hurt by Shrek laughing. That's why she starts singing.

And because their experiences are pretty similar, they are able to bound and fall in love. Here, Fiona is mainly playing it like a tight-ass princess that is pissed. That's a minor detail, but the way Sutton made Fiona's backstory matter in the main musical was by being genuinely hurt by Shrek's chuckle.

Fiona messed up the line "on the walls the days were added" by singing years instead of day but besides that it's pretty great for a high school production with a moderately low budget

Ive seen it live last yr. Not the Broadway version though. The local theathre put it on. Saw it twice. Knew people in it. It was funny.
