I love how all 3 actors flr different ages for Fiona perfectly captures how a kid, teen, and an adult acts when waiting for so long. Kids tend to be more optimistic, teenagers tend to be more moody, and adults go straight coconuts

When we first see Young fiona she looks about 7-8 that means next time we see fiona she looks like she's 11-12 since it has been around 3ish years
So next time we see her fiona is 30-31
So fiona is one of the oldest princess

something i really like about the musical is that it immediately shows us (through this song) that fiona conflates the idea of falling in love with freedom. in the film, while that does get implied later, much of her “i’m falling in love because that’s what princesses do” is played straight. but here, fiona is already shown to have a warped perception due to her years in captivity, and at least to be, gets to be a more introspective character because she’s analyzing “am i just trading one prison for another” throughout her arc in the story.

Not ashamed to say this song makes me teary eyed. The part with all three ages of Fiona buying into the fairytale they've been led to believe, especially when adult Fiona does the final count of days. Great acting on all parts!
