Right-wing Israelis protest arrest of IDF reservists accused of abusing Palestinian prisoner

Right-wing Israeli nationalists stormed two military facilities Monday in protest of the arrest of nine IDF reservists accused of abusing a Palestinian prisoner who was a Hamas operative. CBS News foreign correspondent Debora Patta has more.

It was sexual assault of a Palestinian hostage being held on an Israeli military base, a common occurrence in Israeli prisons and military bases. What is unusual about this case is how sadistic and brutal the assault was. The fact it even became publicly known speaks to how savage this particular assault was.
