I really appreciate that you have a more nuanced look at history and try to tell the real story. A lot of this information was new to me and now it really makes sense that the cubans were really not at all too keen on being all buddy buddy with the americans after the revolution

the war for independence began in 1895, not 1897. Jose Marti died in combat that year, who probably deserves a mention. Great job otherwise!

You guys could do a few episodes (on the different channels you have) about Cuba. It played a big role in medical science, yellow fever, virology, and some major US military medical names/institutions.

Latin America, the cold war playground. Both super powers took advantage of our situation. The cold war may be over but the repercussions of it are still visible in many countries.

Not all of the groups against Bastia were communists. There was a rebel group known as the Second National Front of Escambray they were against Bastia but they were also against Castro.

Yeah know another great example of a perfect revolution was the Revolution in Iran in 1979. And I heard that is considered by many historians to have had the most participants out of any other known revolution in the world. It would be nice to see a video on that someday on this channel. People who criticize Castro for his actions (though some of his brutalities are unjustified)tend to forget what the dystopian country Cuba was, under the brutal Capitalist regime which was staunchly supported by United states .
