"Although the United States often tried to get rid of him". He literally survived 300 attempts from cigarettes with bombs and explosive sea shells 300 times, I wouldn't call that often.

You have to admit, him surviving hundreds of assassinations and living as president for 90+ years is respectable.

Funny how Americans are accusing Castro of human rights violation while USA is running a torture camp on on the same island (Guantanamo)

He wasn't just brave. He was one a few in the world history who left his rich life to fight for independence and to be among a middle class and poor people. RIP El Comandante!

This looks like a more balanced coverage of Castro, unlike that crap in American media.

Castro's last words were found:

SAVE ME I HAVE THE RAY GUN!!!

I'm watching the American news on this and they fail to acknowledge that their involvement in supporting the Batista dictatorship contributed to Fidel Castro's rise to power. I was just watching CNN and they were quite annoyed with one guest speaker who made the suggestion that outside North America Castro is quite respected across the world for standing up to the USA. Throughout Castro's time in power the USA supported many dictatorships across Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, many of whom who have since been accused or convicted of many human rights violations. So it is really funny seeing the American media spin history where they did nothing wrong in their foreign policy with Cuba before and after Castro's rise to power.

Speak anything you want about this man. I don't care. The best thing he ever did was fight the undead in the Pentagon.
