I've been that guy in the boat. I was fishing on a remote stretch of the snake river in Idaho in a small boat and a jet (probably an f15 from mountain home AFB) flew over at a minimal height. Seemed to be just barely over our heads. We never saw or heard it until it was right above us. Scared the crap out of me and my brother. Would have been cool to see it coming but I was looking in the opposite direction.
