I was walking on Omaha Beach in Normandy on Memorial Day, ‘06. There were about 40 of us, all services, on a staff ride from LRMC. All of us selected from various recommendations from our superiors, then selected by the Chaplains & LRMC Commander. Multiple clouds over the beaches with bits of bright sunlight shining through, a cool but beautiful day.
Through the clouds into the sunshine & back into clouds flew FA-18’s, painted Blue Angels blue & gold, & then they were gone. The jets noise made me look up at the cliffs. My then ex-husband & I had attended quite a few air shows & had seen Blue Angels multiple times before we divorced & about 2 yrs before I was deployed. It was a magical moment for me as I’d been deployed 18 months then & had 6 more to go, so was really missing home. Several others “saw something, maybe a plane” but I was the only one who saw Blue Angels that day.. I still believe it was them to this day.👍♥🇺🇸

Such an awesome experience!! My cousin flew for 4 years with The Blue Angels. Mark Swinger is his name, and every time we went to see him, we always had VIP seats. He would drive my parents' van to the checkpoint with all of the other families. He couldn't drive for crap, but he could fly his azz off. Now, he's a pilot for United Airlines.

In combat it’s called a show of force to intimidate if troops are in contact with enemy forces and too close for ordnance to be deployed.

That is low, most jet display teams are not permitted to go stright and level less than 100ft, that was probably 30-40ft.All perfectly safe.
