The Illegitimate grandchild of Queen Victoria

Through her nine children, Victoria had many grandchildren. but it is the story of her daughter, princess Louise that spikes an interest. Did she have any children and if so, what happened to them?

There has been a legend passed down through generations that states that a family all descend from princess Louise, through her son who she gave up for adoption. This legend was started by the so called son, a Henry Locock, who was adopted by queen victorias doctors son and his wife.

I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't several illegitimate Victorian grandchildren about. I mean, Bertie alone! 😮

If the Princess Louise remained low key during the latter half of her pregnancy she could probably pull it off. With the proper use of a corset and the voluminous skirts and hoops in the petticoats of the 1860s it would be fairly easy to hide a gravid abdomen. If Louise delivered the child in the winter nobody would question if the princess was laid up for a month or more with what is referred to as a "heavy cold" .

One of my favourite Queens. Put the government in their place after they tried replacing her which would give them even more power than they deserve. There was ups and downs but she had strength. Even the worse Kings and Queens had gone things that benefitted later generations.

With regards to the illegitimate grandson, it is a possibility as they had a lot of cover ups in those times. Either sending the child to another home or the mother adopts the child as their own. I can see why it would cause issues to have an illegitimate child in the royal family or a family of wealth and such because it might contrast with the legitimate children who will want access to the home and wealth. For the average person, I do not really see the issue. Even in terms of God and religion, a good God would only punish people for horrific misdeeds, not for giving birth to a child and giving them love. They did have better fashions in that era and a few others.

This sort of thing was probably more common than we, in this day and age, think about. Families of wealth could always
hide their daughter(s) away if something "inconvenient" happened. Back then the death rates for young children were
high, it wouldn't be difficult for a baby to be substituted for a still-birth since most births were at home.

If you check the DNA of any family you will find many people who are not DNA related. Women birthing other men's babies or giving birth to a stillborn & that baby being swiped for a live baby all happened a lot & still does.

I used to date a man in CHCH NZ who had family connections with the 'wrong side' of Elizabeth Bowes Lyons family

My family myth is that my great grandfather was the illegitimate son of Edward VIII, the calculation is that Edward would have been about 16.

My great grandfather's mother, Sadie, worked on the Sandringham Estate and was married off to a brush salesman from Barrow-in-Furnace.

My great grandfather, grandfather and mother were all unusually intelligent, flamboyant, and gregarious. My mother looked A Lot like Queen Elizabeth II (and not unlike Louise).

But maybe the royal ancestor was Louise not Edward!

You really do need to pronounce names properly. I've noticed this on several of your films. This time I notice the mispronunciation of Argyll.

Queen Thyra of Hanover, ( whos older sister married Bertie and became Queen Alexandra and 2nd sister married the Tsarevich Alexander becoming Empress Maria Feoderovna ) Anyhow when she was 15 or 16 When Thyra was still just of Denmark, (unmarried) gave birth to a baby girl by her Tutor or Music Tutor or Court Physician IDFK but yeah I wouldn't be surprised and the courts and 'The Firm' will never allow DNA Testing because I'm sure Bertie with all his mistresses had fathered Generations of People and their descendents would most likely all want monetary restitution.

I'm trying to figure out which one of her children or grandchildren made me relative to Queen Victoria DNA test my great grandma was living in Victoria's time and I was born very late to older parents My great grandmother passed away after 1923 it was around 1933 was cousin to Mary Todd Lincoln whom wrote letters to and back from Queen Victoria especially after Albert passed away to console each other Then Abe Passed away So I wonder how it happened that Queen Victoria became my DNA test relative? Just occurred to me I should see whom my great grandma other children were Maybe someone had gotten into a woodpile that they weren't supposed to be? Hummm?

"it is believed" by whom? There doesn't seem to be any evidence, just wild supposition.
