I appreciate your no BS approach. I'm 62 and want to find some land to move back out to a more rural setting. Since I am OK with totally off-grid (no utility availability and more remote) I may have an edge on this for land for me. The investment aspect of this was something I wondered about but had no information. So I am glad I found you. Tax deed land.... ok. 25%, 180 days. OK. This would def need utilities and a well would be a huge plus... different animal when you resell. Interesting.

Hi Ted, thank you for your content. How would you obtain the deed to the home on the property if it has a mortgage? Say, I purchased the redeemable tax deed, I get through the 180 days. I take possession of the land, but there's a house on it with a mortgage. I have the Tax Deed, but how can I take ownership of the house with a mortgage that I'd be interested in paying?
