Disney’s Missing Costume Characters: INSIDE OUT - DIStory Dan

Inside Out is huge now! Two movies, two billion dollars... so why are there so few costume characters in the park representing this emotional film? No Fear or Disgust? No Embarrassment, Envy, Ennui, Nostalgia or Anxiety? Not to mention Riley? So lets tear apart this franchise and it's park entertainment history to see what we can find!

Including Riley in full ice hockey gear in Disney On Ice is such a clever use of the medium, like I love having a character who canonically ice skates be featured in *an ice skating show* (whereas otherwise you're just meant to believe that the ice skating is like a metaphorical representation of the story, here it's literal)

The Anger costume reminds me of the vintage “Big Head” Disney costumes that could also barely move and had the cast member’s head inside a hat

They should do a meet & greet with all 5 emotions like what they do with the 7 dwarfs during holiday events!

I know my daughter would lose her mind if Envy was there. I just want to be able to say I hugged anxiety. I have a picture of my daughter soaking wet from playing in the imagination pavilion fountains with Joy behind her from the pandemic that I love. We def need more emotions in the parks.

Inside Out 2 is a MIRACULOUS movie. It’s AMAZING. I would actually love for Disgust to join Joy, Sadness and Anger in the M&G department. She’s my favorite emotion. I actually got a picture with the statue of her near the emotional whirlwind on my trip to Disneyland!

I had no idea that premiere promo float existed! It's so gorgeous with the articulated puppets and actual flames shooting out of Anger's head! Why couldn't they bring that back for the Pixar parade?!

I met Joy at Disney World. She gave me a hug, and her skin is VERY fuzzy <3

An anxiety costume might be difficult. I heard the character was difficult to animate because of the head shape and mouth. If we did get one, the proportions would undoubtedly be off.

I hope Anxiety my favorite character from Inside Out 2 becomes a walkaround character someday.

Inside Out 1 and 2 are my fav Pixar movies of all time. They deserve much more love than they're currently getting in the parks.

The puppet Inside Out float is seriously so beautiful. ❤ I did get to see them on ice with Riley which was cool. 😊 Awesome editing as always Kenny. 😎 I was dying over the images chosen for Fear, Anger and Disgust. 😂
