DIY LAUNDRY ROOM MAKEOVER | organization & decor ideas for a small space!

Today we're giving our laundry room space a bit of a makeover! 🧺 This room is quite small but we were able to maximize the space with organization & add a bit of ✨pizazz✨ as well. Hope you enjoy! ☁️

Looks so great!! Just a few tips from a fellow DIYer. You absolutely dont have to do any of these but just things Ive learned! 1) You can get banding to go on the sides of the wood to really finish it off since you can see the layered plywood. Its cheap, super easy to apply with an iron! But it really elevates it and makes it look like a solid counter. 2) Then you can seal all the wood with a clear poly just so it holds up over time and is easier to clean. I recommend water based 3) You can also add a small hole in the counter to feed your pendant light cord through so it's hidden. 4) And finally, you can spray paint your brackets gold to match the theme and touch up the screws with gold paint so it all blends in. Just suggestions, looks amazing!

It’s cute having a small laundry room is considered a “small space” haha. Girl, that’s a ton of space because so many of us don’t even have a laundry room and are still doing laundry in the garage 😂. Looks nice!

I just found your channel and loved the renovation! Just FYI, the edges of the plywood can be hidden with a wooden strip that you can buy at most hardware stores. It’s already the perfect width and color, and you iron it on to hide the raw edge. It’s great to make it look smooth and flat. Also, there are rechargeable light bulbs that go into regular light fixtures and have remotes if you want to get rid of the cord to your cute ceiling lamp/light fixture! Enjoy!

Love the laundry room make over. Your style is so cute. We did a diy countertop above our washer in dryer in an old house. My advice would be to have a cut out in the back to have quick access to the water shut off. We had a water line issue and having quick access was very helpful :)

Also adding a little piece of trim to the edge of the shelves so you don’t see the raw plywood edge would make it look SO good and professional!! 💘

Hi Allison,
Great laundry makeover loving the sage green color good choice.. May I suggest "wood edge banding " to go on the outer edge of top shelves, this is applied with an iron it melts the glue right on... since it is real wood you can stain or paint it.. you can remove excess banding with straight blade... I purchased mine from Lowe's Improvement... I think you'll be pleased with the outcome... keep the diy coming.. great job!!!
