Great job! 1 suggestion I’d make is to spray paint the metal brackets close to your wall colour, so they aren’t cluttering the look.

Nice upgrade! Quick tip on the spackling. Instead of spackle use either 20min or 45min mud. It's both more durable and will cure much more quickly. Also you can probably buy an entire giant bag for the price of two tiny tubs of spackle and you don't need to worry about it drying out.

I am in love with these renovation videos! Not only are they super satisfying to watch, but I learn so many handy tips and tricks as well.

Top notch results for the classic laundry closet in a hallway present in many homes.

Have you thought of putting barn doors on? That would look cool

The spackle you used is for minor holes like picture nails, scratches etc. Actual drywall mud will fill larger holes much better and will not sink. I recently found this out after years of doing it the hard way with the pink stuff.

I only needed a 30” countertop over my compact washer and dryer. I found a 30” wide hollow core door at a salvage store for $18. Trimmed it to length and painted it. Makes a great folding table.

New subscriber, here! Good job! I’m starting to do this stuff more since I just bought a 1962 Craftsman style upgraded ranch. It has needed some practical updates, since the very creative guy who upgraded it (although it’s beautiful, especially on the outside), didn’t think of practical needs, such as a vanity with storage, a mirror that is the right height in the bathroom, (so I can see more than my eyes and up), a first floor laundry, basement stairs that were up to code, a leaky garage, etc. I have a contractor and workers, but I like to do things myself when I can and am upgrading my tools and learning!
You are so honest about any mistakes, I love it! That’s how you learn! I was thinking the same thing about not attaching the counter top. I don’t see how anyone could give a thumb’s down! 💕🛠

Awesome job! I did a similar set up in my laundry room. We used a butcher block counter that was supposed to be for an island. It’s so nice to have the folding space now.

I did this and now I have to pull my top-loader 4ft out to load it. Pro-tip: put felt sliders onto the feet of your washer to make moving it a little easier.👌

This is pretty much the vision I have for my utility space. I came for counter hanging tips and stayed for the additional storage solutions 😂👏❤️

those "old" washers are still 15 years newer and better than mine LOL

Add a tension shower rod at the peak of the ceiling for anything you'd like to dry on hangers.

Turned out great. In most jurisdictions that style of light fixture where the electrical connections are made is the junction box.

“Alex plus” spackling is paintable in 30 minutes. Also stainless steel washer lines and a washer pan. this makes your laundry room look so damn good! Simple build but what a huge difference this makes. Those puck lights are awesome, thank you so much for all the info and problem solving! You are the man! Have a great year bro!

Great build overall, but that finish on the counter top is amazing for being rolled on! I need to try that method.

That's exactly like my laundry room. I've been wondering what to do with it, now I know. Thanks!

Excellent video. Thank you for putting this together. My wife and I watch the whole thing as we are looking to refurbish our laundry room. Great work by you!

One addition to your install I would have done is adding water hammer arrestors inline with your washer hoses....that is if you do not have a large arrestor already installed on your main water line for the house.

Great idea ! I'm going tackle this next weekend . I built a short base for ours to sit on so it will be a little taller but I think it will make the wife very happy. As we are always losing things along the sides and back. Good job the build looked great!
