I was 7 years old when my parents bought there 2007 Volvo XC90 3.2. I grew up in the back seat, starting in the booster seat then to the driver seat when I turned 16 the first car I drove was the XC90. We have over 456, 000KM and never had any problems. I’m 19 now and I work at the Volvo dealership my parents bought there Volvo from new! I’m an apprentice Technician and I’m extremely proud to work on Volvo’s because the Safety and quality of these vehicles are the best in the world. It’s amazing that 11 years later I’m working on my parents car!!! That’s the true meaning of “Volvo for Life” No other car manufacturer cares more about safety than Volvo. Thank you Volvo, I became a apprentice Technician because Volvo cars got me interested in becoming a technician when I was 7! ❤️

A few years back my grandmother got into a severe role over in her Xc60. It happened in the middle of the night in winter in the woods. She managed to crawl out of the sunroof. She rolled down a 100 ish foot ravine and walked away. And once On Call sos kicked in she already was far from the car, and they thought she died because no one answered. The paramedics and officers did see her footsteps back up to the road which was the sign that she was alive. Now most of our family drives Volvos. Thank you Volvo, thank you for letting my grandmother still be here to this day.

I was probably around 10 years old back then, but I can still remember what clothes I was wearing and the song that was playing on the radio that day (Cher). And the look on my dads face when he told me that the car was completely destroyed while my brother remained unharmed. It's hard to think about how things could have turned out, had he not been driving a Volvo. Love you big brother!

Volvo Cars, I can say I relate. I was 14 when I was a passenger and my mom was driving, in her Silver Volvo S40 T4 when we were slammed into by a van while at traffic lights. The driver had fallen asleep. It was over in a second but it felt like a lifetime. The impact was truly horrific. The WHIPS system meant both me and my mom walked away from the car with just a few bruises from seatbelts and a headache from the noise. The driver of the van had to be airlifted to hospital, he did survive.

I remember that car well. It was only 3 years old and owned from new but as she drove all over the UK for work, it took everything that could be thrown at it. When it was hit, it had covered over 140k replaced it when it was written off by the insurance a brand new V40 in black.

Since then my family has continued to enjoy the Volvo brand, moms current car is a beautiful 2020 XC90, and I am now the soon to be owner of a new XC40 when it arrives from the factory.

I'm grateful to this day, that we were in a Volvo. Thank you for making the occupant the subject of your obsession with safety.

In December last year Volvo saved the life of me and my grandparents. We were driving at around 90 km/h. The car in front of us braked, without any reason. Our XC40 automatically braked as hard as it could. We missed the car in front of us by inches. However we got rear-ended with 70 km/h. Without Volvos safety systems, we would be not here anymore.
Around 3 Months later the XC40 was back, after a repair cost of 15000 Euros, we get it back. My grandpa sad, that’s the best car I’ve ever drove the last 50 years since I’ve got my drivers license.

Today I’m 17 years old, and my biggest wish is, to drive a XC40 one day, after it saved our lifes

I survived a car wreck back in 1988. I was driving a 1978 Volvo 262 Coupe by Bertone. Senior driver ran a red light and crashed into the right fender. The impact spun my 262 and I ended on top of the sidewalk impacting a small utility pole with the front end. My 262 was a total loss but I was alive to see another thanks to god and my 262 safety features. . I was wearing my seatbelt and it held me in my seat. After that accident I’ve been driving nothing but Volvos. 1989 Volvo 240DL (1990-2000) Volvo s40 (2000-2015) and currently 2016 Volvo v60.

This is a beautiful video ❤️ and from my own experience with car safety I have also only had positive experiences with the safety using a Volvo Car. As an owner of my second Volvo, as the first one got totaled I saw the extent of the damage on my old car. And seeing how it performed, knowing that the truck that hit it had come off even worse made me only more concerned about car safety. Fortunately I was not in the car, when the collision happened, however I know that if I had been, the car would have saved my life. This only made my love and faith in Vol o much stronger and I will never have any other car than Volvo. Volvo keeps you safe. ❤️

Auto braking just saved my life yesterday. It might seem as Martin said in the video: "Something maybe not so dramatic" but in real life, the next 24 hours I have been rethinking so many aspects of my life. Volvo definitely saved me. And I am having this chance to rethink everything because of that.

Hej Martin, that's an awesome story! Being the Volvo fanatic that I am, I recently bought a used Volvo XC60, which has been impeccably maintained by Volvo of Seattle. It has brand-new Pirelli all-season tires. I love driving my Volvo every day; and I feel very safe (City Safety, BLIS, a strong safety cage and the Volvo Accident Research Team, which was founded back in 1970, and has since made numerous contributions that help Volvo to make their cars safer and safer), and your story reminds me of this. Warm greetings from Washington State, USA. Volvo for life!

11th may 2011 involved in a violent head on at almost 110 km/h. Drunk driver driving a fiat punto 1997. He died. I feel bad today even if it wasn't my fault..His car was destroyed...My xc90 held that perfectly sadly due to height and weight my xc90 climbed on the punto and destroyed the front dashboard glass...i was so scared I didn't felt any pain i was just scared about the other driver i tried to open the door but i was just not ready to see the guy in the other car. Thankfully a dude called ambulance and stayed with me he kept repeating "he's fine he's gonna do it focus on you" he really relaxed me. At the end i ended up with right broken leg the whole eyebrow part bleeding a broken rib aswell as a bad neck pain fixed in a few weeks. Thanks volvo

In 1981, my great grandparents bought a 1982 Volvo 244 B21F. Since then, we have had multiple Volvo’s in the family. I currently have a 2012 Volvo S60 and the 82 244. Having one that’s almost 40 years old and one that’s only a few years old, it’s amazing to see that Volvo has always put safety first! After watching this video, and even before, I believe Volvo’s save so many lives!

2:42 This is the most truthful comment I've ever heard when it comes to Volvo safety. I keep seeing too many "Tesla makes the safest cars" comments all over the place, but they only meet the legal requirements and not the Volvo requirements that are a way tougher, because only Volvo can meet Volvo requirements. Volvo all the way!
