XC60 2018 has a safety cage made in different types of steel. The most important area of the cage, that protects the intrusion of the crash into the passengers and driver, is made of BORON STEEL - a ultra high extreme solid steel - very very resistant that can even support crashes at more than 50 MPH.

XC90 did that test at 50 MPH and it passed Ok. If XC90 uses the same platform SPA, and XC60 had overall better results in crash tests, means this XC60 2018 is able to support incredible crashes speeds.

For sure this XC60 supports a 100km/h crash. Even if driver gets injured but doesn't die, it's an extraordinary amazing result and proves how cars and specially Volvo evolved in this matter.

Of course the energy of such a crash is very complicated to humans because of the deaceleration and the g forces involved. It might get your inside organs bleed.

But this is a fuckin' beast a fuckin' tank made with a high percentage of BORON STEEL. Almost 50% of its total weight.

XC60 HAS A 191 CM OF WIDTH, 469 OF LENGTH and 166 cm OF HEIGHT.


ALMOST TWO TONES 1900-2050kg most of engines and trims, and the plug in hybrid T8 because of the batteries, has a weight of 2300kg.


It has 2865 cm of wheelbase. A BEAST CALLED VOLVO XC60.
