The 2021 draft class could go down as one of the draft classes with the most busts in QBs.

I had a professor in college who said that the NFL was racist for letting Trey Lance fall all the way to #3.

Having Chris Simms opinion on quarterbacking is like having Kim Kardashian give her opinion on the Byzantine Empire

There's always a QB coach or OC that's thinks they can fix him. He'll get another shot somewhere.

Why do I feel the Cowboys will make his career failure even more hilarious. Make it happen Jerry

People act like we never seen a college star not pan out in the NFL lol

If this were MLB, Trey would be in A ball working his way up…but it’s the NFL, where you’re expected to produce (or at least show promise) at the highest level almost immediately. Watch what Purdy did with his opportunity, then watch Trey…compared to Purdy, Trey reads NFL defenses like I can read Chinese. Sad but true…

Oh woe is me... tree Lance was the first round pick and he's a multi-millionaire millionaire with generational wealth before the age of 28th my heart goes out to a such a tough life. If you really needs to prove himself he can go up to Canada for a couple years and worked out for Warren Moon !

Jamarcus Russel will forever be the biggest bust in NFL history.

Think of this when people say the only reason Purdy is successful is because he is in Shanahans offense

Man, the NFL moves so crazy fast. It’s athletics plus the ability to make good fast decisions while 1, 000lbs of men are trying to crush you. Not saying he’s not smart, smart is different. Brett Favre was excellent at the quick decision, not so much a smart dude. North Dakota State to the NFL, big, huge, Grand Canyon difference.

When Cooper Rush played they had some success.

I hate how folks get on the Internet and go in on someone for not reaching their projected potential. That's a weird way to go about things, but some of the same, "fans, " say terrible things about their teams and players also. These guys have a tight window to succeed, and if not successful, sometimes never get another chance. He's young, so maybe he can bounce back with further development. Jerry put unfair expectations on a guy who was basically on the bench outside of 4 games. SF also went and traded a king's ransom to draft him. I couldn't imagine that much pressure. Hope he doesn't pay too much attention to social media and media because who knows how he's taking it. This isn't a person talking trash it's everywhere and non-stop hearing how bad you are. It has to impact you to some degree.

My team drafted him. Jimmy G was on his way out.Trey has very little playing time, (covid) then gets hurt. He was never the same after that. We get Brock Purdy. Purdy steps up takes QB1 then Trey gets put on back burner, traded to Dallas, I feel bad for the Kid. Shitty luck. I genuinely hope the best for Trey.

That 4th pick was an exceptional play by Lance. Great recognition of the defense. Bailed to give himself time. Found the receiver and made an accurate back foot throw with defenders in his face. And then the receiver, with the ball in his hands, gives it to the defender climbing over his back,

Josh Dobbs threw 5 pics in 1 game last season, and he was playing with his starters. Up until that last pre season game, one of Lance's best attributes was he doesn't turn the Ball over, he's not the most accurate, but he didn't throw pics in College, or while he was on the Niner's, it's hard playing with back up receiver's in the pre season, they don't get much separation, or run great routes, i mean Brock Purdy really struggled that pre season game, where he was playing with practice squad receivers.

As a 49ers fan, I was strongly disappointed when we let him go. I still believe in him and saw Sparks’s of leadership but I think he’s dealing with an immense amount of pressure. Hope he seizes his next opportunity

As a lifelong Chiefs fan, I am profoundly grateful to the 49ers for trading all of those first-round picks to get Lance. We might not have gotten these last two rings if the Niners had made good use of those first-rounders.

If he loves football and wants to play he has to swallow his pride and try to make the switch to tight end. Hes athletic enough to do it
