Samsung DeX Apps | Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Hi. So In this video I will be testing out "Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)" on Samsung DeX with a Samsung Galaxy S9+ running Android 8.0 to see how the app performs on Samsung DeX (Android Desktop) with a mouse and keyboard or with a game controller. We see if the app works on Samsung DeX and whether it can actually be used on Samsung DeX.

In my Samsung DeX Apps videos I just run and use a bunch of random apps on my Samsung DeX and we see if it works on DeX with keyboard and mouse or with a game controller. We also look to see if the app actually looks good on Android Desktop and is optimized for it.

What is Samsung DeX? Samsung DeX lets your people connect their Galaxy S9, S9+, S8, S8+ or Note8 to a monitor, keyboard and mouse for a desktop computing experience with Galaxy Desktop. They can just plug their phone into their DeX accessory to open apps, use keyboard shortcuts, and drag and drop files all on the big screen.

There is some dumb policy where you are required to have a MS 0ffice 360 subscription when connecting to external devices larger that 10 inches. This is what a Samsung rep claimed. - posted from my Dextop.

Fun fact. Word Online messes up formatting of the document created in windows version of Word, but android app show it and can edit it without messing up formatting. :)

Office app on android works for free without sub. Separate apps like Word, Excel, Powerpoint require MS 365 sub because they are more powerful I think.

Wow microsoft... So when you use non-subscribed office in normal android, you can use it freely (at least I can now), but in Dex you must pay?!... Wooow....

Do citations work in this format of Word? The referencing tools on desktop Word are soooo useful, so not having them on DeX Word would be a deal breaker...
