Obviously, Kyle's joke went WAY too far. But I don't think we should blame Jack black for it. Like he said he was blindsided, and he didn't know what to say. He should have said something, but I think it's clear he didn't agree with it. He was just hoping people would look over it because he didn't want any controversy.

I think he can be forgiven for this. I can understand being "blindsided" by such a statement in that situation. I've personally been caught off guard by things other people say and have been unable to respond correctly. It's good that he apologized.

see, i don’t think it’s right to wish death on anyone either but jack black getting the hate just isn’t deserved. i mean he’s a great guy and he doesn’t condone violence in any way. gass saying this on stage like i said wasn’t right but just because jack black didn’t say anything, doesn’t mean that he was totally fine with it.
