Should you choose the highest paying major or something you are most interested in? Students and higher education expert Jared Meyer talk about what goes into choosing a major, what the worst, best and highest paying college majors are. What did you (or will you) major in - or did you take a different route? Let us know what you've learned in the comments.

Picking a major is one of the toughest questions college students face. Should you pick one that's fun, high paying, or flexible? While the best college major for you may be subjective, this conversation sheds some light into what other students are thinking - and what experts recommend.

We the Internet host Lou Perez talks with prospective students and undergraduates from UCLA and Santa Monica College about their choices, as well as Jared Meyer of the the Manhattan Institute (and now the Foundation for Government Accountability) and author of author of "Disinherited: How Washington is Betraying America's Young." They discuss what the worst college major is, how different college majors may fare in the future, whether the highest paid major (petroleum engineering) is the way to go, and whether majoring in something like Business or minoring in a field you are passionate about can offer flexibility that allows for higher paying jobs down the road while also providing a path to your dream job and an engaging college experience. If you're deciding how to choose your major (or minor), watch this short video for some valuable food for thought - and let us know yours in the comments.

"...the apocalypse happens and there's, like, ten people left...and we need more pronouns. It's like, women's studies, gender studies...boom, taking over."

I've never spit coffee on my tablet screen... before today. Worth it. That was exactly the kind of left field goodness that keeps me coming back for more!

Most people arent smart enough to do something like petroleum engineering. I can barely spell it. People need to find a cross between what they are good at, what pays, and what they can tolerate if not actually enjoy. For a lot of people that may mean not even going to college at all

TL:DR Any major that ends in the word studies is utterly useles. Anything in the STEMverse is useful.

You have to figure out, are you for real, or are you a comedy show? At the end of this piece, you said I would learn something, I learned nothing. I want you to succeed, the bits on Brown and Yale are fantastic, You can't make crap like this and expect to get more subscribers.
