There is one guy on my team who will not shut up. I've had to tweak this advice a little to work with him. I raise one finger instead and then just slowly put it to his lips and then use the auditory indicator of "shhh, shhh, shhh"

I love that he specified with "When its YOUR TURN to speak..." and not just "whenever you want to interject."

You clearly have never tried to jump into a meeting with the self-important A-type personalities that I deal with, who love to hear themselves talk, ad nauseum - with never taking a breath or making a valid point. By some miracle, should you get opportunity to finally speak, be assured that you WILL be interrupted by the same people and you will never finish your thought.
