Does syncing a folder from your computer to Google Drive affect storage space on Google Drive?

So you have two copies of the same file stored on your hard drive, right (the original file on the desktop, and Google Drive Folder)?? To me, this doesn't make sense....
I don't get why is it impossibile to syncronize a folder (no backup, just syncing to the cloud back & forth) in real time between more devices.
Dropbox does that.

It doesn´t work. When I try to login, backup and sync keeps "one moment..." forever !

7 months ago someone said lose the music...and you still have it... so i only lasted 1 minute cant hear u

turn off the music.. if youre going to post a tutorial video, you need better mic and no background music, .
